Alexandra Mayers shares a situation she thought she’d never witness first hand in real time on social media in regards to a woman she knows essentially being threatened due to her choice to speak out about abuse in her industry. Then Alexandra shares how interesting it is that the age of consensual sex throughout history has consistently been dramatically lower than the minimum age to run for President of the United States of America.

Alexandra Mayers LIVE – early morning painting and thoughts – The Gecko
Finishing up repainting this gecko wall hanging while talking about whatever is on my mind (memories, relationships, dating as a single older woman without children, a recommendation to check out the Amazon Prime original series “Good Omens”, future podcasts and other future personal plans).

What is peace What is self acceptance What…
What is peace? What is self acceptance? What is truly understanding the meaning of our lives? I don’t have the answers to those questions but I believe I’m on the road to reaching such answers due to feeling a level of calm and peace I’ve never experienced before.
As I have time, I’ll post more video blogs here and via Twitter @AlexMayersLIVE – but I’m on break from writing for a while. When I start up again, my focus will be politics and relationship advice.
An early morning sunrise
I hadn’t seen an ocean sunrise for a while so I went to my local beach this morning to see one. It was amazing – I’d equate what I witnessed this AM to an “easy listening” version of 4th of July fireworks.
I’ve had the distinct feeling over the past few weeks that one phase of my life has come to a close, and another phase of my life is just beginning.
God is real. Jesus Christ is real. Christianity is what resonates with me – and I believe that there’s likely quite a few things that Christianity doesn’t fully cover that are a part of what life is all about as well.
Enjoy the video below… next time I make a beach video I’ll bring an external microphone 🙂
One of my favorite movies of all time…
One of my favorite movies of all time is Back To the Future – really the entire trilogy is amazing. Michael J. Fox did such a great job in those films – he was actually one of my first crushes as a teenager.
Anyways one of my favorite scenes in the first movie is when Marty travels back to the 1950s to ensure his parents get together – and that scene is what inspired me to produce and perform this cover of “Earth Angel” by the 1950’s group The Penguins.
I call my version of the song “Earth Angel 2019”.
I’m REALLY enjoying making music nowadays 🙂 As always, you can find my other music (more covers and my original songs) on AlexandraMayersMusic.com

Thoughts from the GYM about life & various issues – along with an audio podcast about why fitness is important
Some thoughts, photos and videos from the past few days of the life of Alexandra Mayers
My live beach podcast didn't work out today due to wifi stability issues, bit that's OK – I'll get into my studio later tonight to tackle the issue I tweeted about earlier.
For now, enjoy this glimpse of my life 😊 #AlexandraMayers #beach pic.twitter.com/InCI74ZMYv

I’ve decided to quit smoking for the next…
I’ve decided to quit smoking for the next 20 years at least… Why? Well, I don’t feel that being a fat smoking woman in her 40’s is exactly a “good look” – therefor I’m doing all I can to be the opposite 🙂 I figure letting myself go in my 60’s or 70’s will be alright, but for the next couple of decades I want to continue holding it together.
In addition, I’m planning to do quite a bit of traveling this Spring which will involve some rather physical activity, so I need to amp up my fitness level just a bit (and in order to do so cutting cigarettes out of my life is a must).
I’ve never been a heavy smoker – only light to medium (in frequency). I quit “cold turkey” and am past the “cravings” stage for the most part. Already I can see a dramatic improvement in my workout performance (though I had to take a while off from the gym upon quitting smoking initially – due to my body readjusting).
As of late I’ve been trying to get in a work out either at the gym, park or beach 4 times a week.
I’m strongly considering finding a canine companion around the fall because it would be nice to have the company when I go jogging, hiking or camping. I’m not sure which breed is for me this time around…(I definitely want an athletic and intelligent Dog that is perfectly suited for me at this phase in my life) so I’ll be researching the various breeds extensively over the next few months. I’m thinking an Australian Shepherd might be a good match for the type of person I am today, but we’ll see…
