Thoughts on Ana Foxxx, Racism, Showtime, the AVN Awards & the Porn Industry
In this webcast of Alexandra Mayers LIVE, Alexandra shares her thoughts and an article from PornNewsToday http://www.pornnewstoday.com/pnt/2017/05/07/showtime-likely-edited-her-from-their-2017-avn-awards-broadcast-due-to-her-multitudes-of-escort-ads-not-due-to-her-race/ in regards to whether or not Ana Foxxx was edited from the Showtime AVN Awards cable special due to her race OR the multitude of online escort listings which advertise her to the general public for private encounters.
The American pornographic industry as a whole has a long standing history (especially nowadays) for being incredibly racist towards African-Americans…however Showtime is not a part of the pornographic industry, nor is the corporate entity known for being racist.
Though Ana Foxxx has stated that Showtime likely trimmed her from the AVN award’s show final edit due to her “politics”, Jessica Drake (who also made quite the political statement that evening) received attention. The difference between Jessica and Ana obviously is their ethnicity – however there’s another major difference… whereas there are a multitude of online escort ads that showcase Ana, there are not a multitude of online escort ads that showcase Jessica.
Alexandra Mayers has spoken at great length over the years about racism within the pornographic industry and adult entertainment as a whole.
Considering how the world works (which often is NOT fair), Alexandra encourages Ana Foxxx to make some changes in her life should she want to continue to compete within the unfair system that is both adult and mainstream entertainment.
