Upon seeing pornstar Aaliyah Hadid’s tweets which were a request for help from the public in regards to finding a therapist so that she can better cope with some traumatic events from her childhood, Alexandra Mayers decided to share some resources she found that may help both Aaliyah and other pornstars and/or sexworkers that may be dealing with similar issues.

Alexandra Mayers highly recommends that pornstars and sexworkers contact the Adult Performers Actors Guild (@APAGUnion on Twitter) in regards to helpful resources as their leaders Alana Evans and Ruby are knowledgeable and truly care.

Pornstar August Ames (who recently passed) voiced in an interview with pornographer Holly Randall that she had a difficult time finding a therapist who understood her child hood trauma but was non-judgmental about her working within the adult entertainment industry.
